Chelsea Flower Show 2020: The Virtual Show
The world’s most prestigious horticultural event, the RHS Chelsea Flower Show has unfortunately been forced to cancel this year. But the ‘greatest flower show on earth must go on’ but not as we know it! The first ever virtual Chelsea Flower Show is underway this week! Avid fans of the show will be provided with access to the biggest names in gardening, behind-the-scenes videos and online tours at a time when gardening, growing plants and having access to nature has never been so important.
This year’s virtual Chelsea Flower Show will be held online from Monday 18th May – Saturday 23rd May at rhs.org.uk

The gardening world has come together to bring horticultural knowledge to millions of homes this week to help continue to inspire everyone to grow. An exciting line-up of world-leading designers, plant experts and practical gardening advice is available at a click of a button from the comfort of your own home!
When is the RHS Chelsea Flower show on?
This year’s virtual Chelsea Flower Show will be held online from Monday 18th May – Saturday 23rd May 2020.
Where can I watch it?
Virtual Chelsea is hosted online at rhs.org.uk from May 18 – 23.
You can also catch clips of the past 10 years of Chelsea coverage in a series of BBC programmes presented by Sophie Raworth, Joe Swift, Monty Don and Nicky Chapman. There will also be advice from top gardening and design experts including Adam Frost, Carol Klein, Rachel De Thame and Toby Buckland.
Wednesday 20th May – Health & Wellbeing
Chelsea designers and experts show you their own gardens and give planting tips. There will also be a focus on the health and wellbeing benefits of gardening, which are proving so important in these challenging times.
Thursday 21st May – Grow your own
Enjoy behind-the-scenes garden tours with Chelsea designers and discover amazing ideas to try at home. There will also be a celebration of the joy of growing your own flowers, fruit and vegetables and tips from the professionals.
Friday 22nd May – Wildlife and Environment
Inspirational articles today highlight how gardeners play such an important role in supporting wildlife and the environment. Garden designer Tom Massey will demonstrate how to create an organic wildlife haven on a smaller scale.
Saturday 23rd May – Small Space Gardening
The final day of Virtual Chelsea has got a packed day of inspiration with a focus on indoor gardening and growing in small spaces.
