Living Up to the 'Colorful Standard'
On our next stop in stocking more sustainable brands, we are proud to introduce Colorful Standard; the eco-conscious brand that believes that less is more. Colorful Standard have been very vocal about the mass consumption issue in the fashion industry and have chosen to combat it by creating a line of high-quality basics in vibrant colours, and we are in love!
Sustainability
Colorful Standard believe that by creating the basics using high quality processes and materials, it will mean the products will last longer, lessening the need for repurchasing. They have produced their clothing with 100% organic cotton and 100% merino wool, decreasing the amount of microplastics being released into the environment, and are using non-toxic and environmentally friendly dyes. All their clothing is produced in Portugal with a transparent working framework and fair wages to their employees. Colourful Standard also uses laser cutting methods, vastly decreasing the amount of wasted material in their production line.
The Collection
At Mr & Mrs Stitch, the line we have chosen to carry has a great mix of your everyday staples in neutral colours, and easily styled pieces with great pops of colour. The sweatshirts come in an oversized fit which is flattering on and extremely cosy to wear, and a more fitted style that is easily styled up or down. We have also added a range of t-shirts in multiple colours and sleeveless vests that are great for layering. There is nothing better than a good quality basic that lasts, and all the pieces we have chosen have special anti-pilling technology, cutting out the chance of that annoying balling that usually happens to our favourite wardrobe basics.
