Universal Works happy welcome to wonderful winter style
Universal works was first founded by David keyte in 2009 working out of his kitchen table. He had a goal to create the most honest clothing through fit and good design, however never over designing. He was inspired to start the brand by growing up in a working-class family that loved to dress well. With over thirty years of experience in the fashion industry later he decided to take the plunge into his own brand. The brand emulates the goals of David with mixing understanding of heritage underpinned by contemporary needs and aesthetic.
Universal Works “clothesmongers” collection
Universal Works has once again raised the bar with its new Autumn/Winter range creating versatility while using tradition materials. The season has the fingerprints of early London costermongers with brilliantly bold patterns and prints. Adding a level of Autumnal palette with warm, natural textured and tactile fabric throughout the collection.
The name of the game in this year’s collection is versatility, reinventing wool material used for suiting now made for practical and tailored pieces, slightly subverting workwear attires. Similarly Universal Works has crafted recycled denim from the more professional double breasted suit attire and also the fun playful tracker jackets. Winter twills and corduroy pieces now work as coordinated sets or as stunning stand-alone pieces giving you room to play with your style this winter.

Mr Stitch has extensively searched for the perfect pieces through this versatile collection that complements our customer’s style. With that in my mind we have some of the most unique pieces just for you. One of them is the Stanedge Swedish camo jacket that features autumn coloured camo print throughout. Including hip flap pockets, adjustable hood and zip fastening. Another great piece is the Lancaster jacket featuring a beautiful soft fleece texture giving it a warm comfortable feel. It also includes two patch pockets and a shawl collar. The Gower quilt jacket has a quilted padded design throughout for those harsh winter days, it also has two patch pockets and one flap pocket for utility purposes.
