Grenson is Mr and Mrs Stitch’s footwear staple and you’re sure to find the perfect footwear accompaniment within with our vast selection of this brands range of shoes and sneakers. Quality is key to its success and each piece of footwear undergoes a unique process which can trace its origins back to rural Nottinghamshire at the turn of the century.
This season, AW19 sees a wider range of sneakers, highlighting the importance of these as a wardrobe essential. The Sneaker 1 in deep blue and grey nubuck and white leather for example, maintain Grenson’s traditional style and craftsmanship whilst adding a modern, sporty aesthetic. There is also the Sneaker 22 in tan and black leather which is a twist on the original Sneaker 1.We also see the introduction of Women's Grenson with the highly sought after Nanette Boot, made famous after being worn my style icon Holly Willoughby in 'I'm A Celebrity'.
Grenson can trace its roots back to 1866 when William Green began making shoes in Rushden, Northamptonshire. By 1874 the business had outgrown what could be made by hand in the homes of outworkers and so production was moved to a factory at Green Yard and mechanised. In 1913 the business name was condensed to Grenson, as we know it today. Quality has always been key to the success of the brand with the Goodyear Welted sole being at the foundation of this.
Grenson has been able to adapt to moves and changes within the footwear market and recently a more casual sneaker range was introduced to take advantage of this trend, while still retaining the ethics and principles of a traditional Northampton shoe making company.
