Introducing one of our newest labels, Universal Works to Mr & Mrs Stitch. This British designer is a brand shaped by a deep appreciation of the musical and sporting subcultures that underpin the everyday life of British men. Universal Works takes its cultural and contextual heritage and layers it under a nuanced understanding of contemporary menswear needs. These single-pleat, tapered contemporary trousers with turn-up are constructed from 100% cotton. The 'Ripstop' fabric as its name suggests is a type of fabric that undergoes a special reinforcing process that increases its tensile strength to resist tears and abrasions, and rips. Universal Works source this particular ripstop fabric from a Japanese mill based out of Tokyo. It has a soft, dry hand feel, and features the signature small ripstop 'squares.' This style of trouser is the perfect example of unstructured tailoring and features two front pockets and button-fly. These trousers have also got rear pockets; one button jetted, one buttoned flap and turn-up hem.
