An Afternoon of Style, Sound, and Autumn Fashion with Oliver Spencer at Margot Belfast
Share
Yesterday afternoon, the energy at Bank Square was magnetic as fashion enthusiasts, local tastemakers, and friends gathered in the light-filled rooms of Margot Belfast. Celebrating our 50 Years of Rio Brazil legacy, we hosted an unforgettable Fashion Tea: a relaxed afternoon set within a romantically bright Georgian townhouse, recently renovated and brought back to its full, historic glory. Filled with delicious food, bespoke cocktails, great music, and standout style, it was a true celebration of modern elegance.
Hosted by Steve Simpson, Buyer and Managing Director of Rio Brazil and Mr & Mrs Stitch, the event delivered an intimate look at what lies ahead for fashion this season.
Setting the Vibe: Vinyl Beats & Delicious Treats
Guests arrived into the sunlit, beautifully restored space to signature cocktails crafted specifically for the afternoon, alongside a delicious menu served by the Margot team.
Setting the soundtrack for the day was local legend DJ Slim Jim, who brought the smooth, warm sound of an all-vinyl DJ set to the venue. His vinyl mix created the perfect laid-back background beat for an afternoon centered around craft, detail, and quality.
In Conversation: Steve Simpson & Oliver Spencer
A standout moment of the afternoon was an insightful, relaxed Q&A between Steve Simpson and world-renowned designer Oliver Spencer.
Sitting down together, Steve and Oliver opened up a candid conversation covering everything from the crossover between fashion and personal travel to Oliver’s vision for the industry today. They discussed the importance of sustainable craftsmanship, how modern menswear is evolving to prioritize both comfort and versatility, and what it takes to build a lasting brand in today’s changing landscape.

On the Runway: Autumn/Winter 2026 Trends
Following the chat, Steve took to the mic to guide guests through a curated showcase of our brand-new AW 2026 transitional collection, which has just arrived in store and online at mrandmrsstitch.com.
Brought to life by the talented models from ACA Model Agency, the looks highlighted the defining elements of the season:

Versatile Silhouettes: Relaxed tailoring paired with functional layering, designed to move seamlessly from lingering late-summer afternoons into crisp autumn evenings.
-
Tactile Fabrics & Textures: Soft, premium textures stole the spotlight, featuring rich knits, fluid layering, and structured outerwear built for warmth and sophistication.
